Each slot has another pay out ratio. The slot with the highest pay out ratio is the best slot to pay. Some software suppliers (like microgaming) give the pay out ratio of the slot. It lies mostly between 90% and 97%. Online there is no way to know when a slot will pay out. Every spin is a completely new one.

Also with the slots in brick and morter casino's you can not know. Every spin is new. Even worse is, you can not know the pay out ratio's here. Every casino can adjust this themselves. About slots in the Netherlands I know that the pay out ratio is lower on average than the online slots. Stealing someone else his win is a trick that doesnt work, plus the person who just left will not like it that you try the same slot right after. He is already on edge because of losing money on the slot. Also there is not a best time of the month or day to play.

Slots are just a fun way to gamble a little. There is no strategy to it. Just have fun and hope for a bit of luck.

It really depends on the on the game, not on the machine.

It is impossible to get the winnings of the last player after he/she has left the slot machine.

Winning on slot machines is entirely dependent to chance! So, no, there is no best time or day to play it to win big.

Depends on your definition of "pay better"

Nickel machines pay better then penny machines, why? Higher bet, higher wins. Quarter machines pay better then nickel machines, why? Higher bet, higher wins, and so on.

If you want the best pays, play the most expensive slot machines, which currently sit at $100/spin(or max bet for $300/spin)

But the other side of the coin, they only pay better because the risk is higher.

The individual games are at the mercy of the RNG.

there isn't any "better" u just have to know how to play and get lucky, those machines are made so that the odds of winning are very low
