BlackJack Betting Strategies?

I'm familiar with basic strategy for blackjack, but was wondering if there are any good strategies for betting? Thanks.

If you have more than 12 and the dealer has less than 6 don't take a hit!

Here are a few side bars to the basic strategy.

Never split 8s against a dealer power card (9/10/J/Q/K/A)

Never hit a 3 card total of 16 stand or surrender if that option is offered.

On a win reduce the amount of your next bet to insure some profit if you lose go back to your original bet amount if your 2nd bet also wins keep doing that thru out the streak if one developes.

There are no good strategies around that's why we still have casinos. Every one's a sucker. Maximum bets in casinos are set so you can only double your bet a maximum of 6 or 7 times.
